Welcome to BTT Amal, Please Introduce yourself and your Blog.
Hi, I’m Amal Rafeeq from Kerala, India. Well, you can call me Zion, that’s what I like . I’ve been into the internet marketing world for the last 1 and a half year and writing is my favorite thing to do. So I decided to blog. I started BloggerDoc.com in the last February and so far so good about it.
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging for the past one year. But it’s just only 7 months since I started BloggerDoc. All the other blogs were completely flops. I admin it. Hey, where’s success without mistakes! Right?
I’m also managing some niche blogs with which I’m only targeting Organic Traffic and revenue from Adsense. Well, 2 of them are now providing me 15$ each per day.
What have been your experiences so far?
On Blogging? First, it’s not a get rich quick scheme or the right solution if you want to be popular with the help of some clicks. You must blog about what you’re passionate about and what you love in order to achieve your goals via Blogging.
Almost everyone with an Internet connection and little time to spend online is starting their own blog and no offence, I’m sad to see the internet is getting junkier. Some people think it’s like gaming. But I can say you that it requires true dedication and a will power to go through many blocks.
Earning money through blogging? Well, I could say that then Affiliate Marketing is my top income stream. It’s top and best. Even though there are many ways out there like Advertising and content marketing to make money online, Affiliate Marketing will work much better for you.
Can you please explain what Affiliate Marketing is about?
Affiliate Marketing is the system in when you help another business company or product owner to get more conversions or purchases by spreading the word across your audience.
Consider that you’re a writer who sells one of your books for 100$. I’m an Affiliate and I decided to help you do more conversions through my loyal readers or audience. Then, through the link or media you provided me, I’ll talk about the book and recommend it to them. And when one guy buys it through ME, I’ll get a commission from 30% to 60%. Let’s take 50% here for example.
So when that guy brought the book, the author gets 50$ and I get 50$ commission too. Simple, isn’t it?
It’s a WIN-WIN-WIN game since the company gets more conversions and revenue, I get paid for referring others and the buyer gets a products which meets his interest.
Who can be an Affiliate Marketer?
Anyone. To become a successive in the affiliate marketing industry, you will need to build a strong online presence, huge targeted audience and an audience who trust you. Well, as a human, I believe anyone can achieve it with some hard work. So the answer is anyone, who have the will power.
What’s Impossible? That word itself got the word – POSSIBLE in it if you take away the two letters I and M.
What are the Basic Things needed?
Like I said before, the very first thing you need is a strong online presence. A blog will be the most suitable thing to aim a targeted audience.
Make sure you have your own Newsletter to stick your loyal readers with you, be active on Social Media and let people follow and engage with you.
Even though if you have all those things, there is one another BIG factor which you’ll need to have. It’s the Trust-Factor. Without trust, people won’t buy from you or they won’t even think about it. So, use your words and creations to build a trust factor with your audience.
Never roll out affiliate products for earning money only. Recommend products which might help them and recommend them at the right time.
How fast can one start making money from it?
It depends. There are many Affiliate Marketers like Zac Johnson who does hundreds of conversions a day without doing much for it. Well, those are the results of past hard works of course.
So, making money through Affiliate Marketing depends upon the volume of traffic, the trust factor you’ve made and the relevancy of the products you are recommending. Unlike Advertising, Affiliate Marketing is a sector which requires much thought and wise moves.
What are the best ways to go about it?
Let me make it simple : Newsletter, Online Advertising, Social Media, eBooks, Product Reviews and Direct contacts.
But, giving out a coupon code or discount deal always works for me way better.
In terms of income, Which is better between Affiliate Marketing and Google Adsense?
I’d say BOTH are totally different. We can’t compare between Affiliate Marketing and Advertising through medias like Adsense.
Affiliate Marketing won’t work for some niche and Google Adsense for some others. It depends.
Think about a technology blog where 90% of the traffic are organic and people visit to get quick information. You don’t actually have the time to build a trust factor or stick them with you. But they are more bound to interact with the Ads and you’re Adsense income will be higher since organic traffics are high. Then the ratio of Affiliate Marketing and Adsense revenue will be 10% : 90%.
And now, think about a Internet Marketing blog where people might come to you from various referall traffic and where they might stick to you with the intention of reading more. You’ve already built a trust factor and sticked them with you. But most of the readers who will land on this niche know about Adsense ads and they’ll probably say “Shit, that’s an Adsense, I must stay away from it” , after seeing one. So your Adsense revenue will be NONE.
But at the same time, there are many products out there which might come to their interest on buying. So, recommend them and earn more Affiliate Income.
The ratio here will be 90% : 10% on Affiliate revenue : Adsense. Right?
So, I’d say BOTH are good to go with according to the situations.
What Affiliate Marketing companies do you recommend for newcomers to start it?
If you’re a Blogger, I’d recommend you to use Clickbank which is totally free to use and surf products in the market place. You can choose from thousands of products which’s quite neat.
Another best way to make more Affiliate Commissions are by recommending products which you use. Consider you’re running your blog on a premium theme. When people who like to have them see a link to buy the theme from your blog, there will be no second thoughts! So include an Affiliate link to the scheme and you’ll see at least 80% of increase in the total conversions.
