In this day and age, there are thousands of different blogs on the Internet. Some of them do very well while others get lost in the search engines. Because there are so many other blogs out there, it can be difficult to make yours stand out from all the rest. It definitely takes time and dedication to make your blog successful.
If you follow the dos of blogging and the don’ts of blogging, your blog is much more likely to be a success.
Do Link to Other Bloggers
It is very important to link to other bloggers from time to time. Doing so can drive more traffic to your blog and draw other readers into the conversation. Also, if you get an idea from another blogger, it is only proper to link back to him so that he gets credit. If you link back to other bloggers, they are much more likely to link back to you.
Don’t Play Music on Your Blog
Never play music on your blog. For example, if you play an upbeat dance song on your blog, readers might get annoyed and not come back. They especially won’t come back if they visit your blog during work and a song starts blaring through their speakers.
Do Reply to Your Comments
Replying to comments is extremely important when you have a blog. It allows you to directly connect with the people who are reading your blog. Even if you just say, “Thanks for reading my post,” the reader will appreciate that you took the time to respond to his comment.
Don’t Make Spelling and Grammar Mistakes
If you want people to come back to your blog, you must avoid making spelling and grammar mistakes. Readers are much less likely to continue reading your blog if it is full of errors. Take 10 minutes to proofread all of your posts.
Do Include Images
People love looking at photos, so make sure to include images in your blog posts. For example, if you write a blog post about your dog, make sure to include a photo of him. Including images in your photos will also help your blog rate higher in search engines.
Don’t Write Long Paragraphs
Long blocks of text can be difficult to read on the Internet, so make sure to break your posts into shorter paragraphs. Each paragraph should not have more than fix or six sentences in it. Try to work in subheads and bullet points whenever possible; they can make your content much easier to read.
Do Market Your Blog
If you want people to actually read your blog, you have to do some marketing. Do not be afraid to advertise your blog on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. Also, tell your friends and family members about your blog.
Don’t Plagiarize Other Bloggers
If you want readers to take your seriously, you can’t plagiarize other bloggers. Readers like unique content and don’t want to see bloggers copying each other. It is okay to get ideas from other bloggers as long as you add your own unique spin on your posts.
Do Post Often
When you have a blog, it is important to post often. If you just make a post every couple of months, people will stop visiting your blog. Try to make at least two blog posts a week so that people keep coming back.
Whether your blog is about finance or beauty, you can make it successful by following these dos and don’ts. Do not get discouraged if your blog is not a big hit the first month. It can take a lot of time to attract a lot of readers. If you continue to write quality posts often, you should see an increase in your readers.

Great tips, Truong.
I especially agree with making your paragraphs short. Just to look at a large block of text gives me a headache and I’m hard pressed to even think about reading an entire article that’s written like that.
Thanks for sharing these cool tips with our community.
